Remote Site Medical Services
Medilink has the capabilities to devise, set-up and manage remote site medical services across Mauritania, wherever our clients are based. The clinics we set up and operate are scalable in terms of scope and range from from basic emergency clinics up to full hospital set-ups including operating theatres.
Mobile Clinic Services
Typically, our remote clinics focus on bridging the gap between our clients’ requirements and the services available in the immediate region. We provide complete, fully-equipped mobile clinics, 4WD ambulances, drugs and consumables as well as medical staff and can do this at short notice and on a needs’ basis.
Mobile Clinics would typically include:
| an emergency service
| a General Practice Service
| stabilisation facilities for onward medevac
| road ambulance services (all terrain vehicles)
| occupational health services
| other specialisms according to the requirement of the location
In addition, Medilink offers complete remote site medical services and solutions including:
| Design of services
| Provision of containerised or mobile clinics
| Equipping and continuous supply chain
| Topside Support
| Development of procedures and management of the medical services throughout the lifetime of the project
| Health surveillance
| Medical Evacuations and hospital admissions
Management of Remote Site Clinics across Mauritania
Our remote medical staff receive clinical management support from our Head Office. We operate robust clinical governance programmes which include patient care protocols, procedures for pharmacy control, maintenance of medical records and medical emergency response procedures. Our remote site services in Mauritania are further supported from our base in Nouakchott and additional by our medevac teams which are able to evacuate patients at any time.
Our medics are also supported on a 24/7 basis by our Topside Support Service at Medilink headquarters in Malta. This ensures that medics never work in isolation but are backed up and fully supported by a strong medical infrastructure. Delivery of clinical services on the sites we operate is monitored by our clinical governance team and is audited regularly by senior management.
